Why and how we collect and use your personal information

We may collect your personal information as an individual for various purposes, such as the following:

  • Access and use of websites or other online services
When entering one of our websites, or using an online service, we will record information necessary to provide you with access, for the operation of the website and for us to comply with security and legal requirements in relation to operating our site. We also collect statistics to help us secure, improve and further develop our websites, products and services.
  • Responding to your request for information or support
When you contact us (online or offline) regarding a request for information or providing you with support. We collect the information necessary to fulfil your request, provide you with the required support and to be able to contact you. This information can include:
    • Your name and contact details (business and/or home)
    • Your job title
    • Details of your interactions with us, including any which occur electronically or in person
We retain such information for administrative purposes, defending our rights, and regarding our relationship with you.
  • Contacting employees of our clients, prospects, partners and suppliers
In our relationship with clients or prospects, partners and suppliers, they also provide us with business contact information (such as name, business contact details, position or title of their employees, contractors, advisors and authorised users) for purposes such as contract management, fulfilment, delivery of products and services, provision of support, invoicing and management of the services or the relationship.
  • Marketing
At present we do not conduct any direct marketing using Personal Information.

Do Not Track Settings

Because we track website usage information as described in the above Cookie section, your selection of the “Do Not Track” option provided by your browser may not have any effect on our collection of certain information. The only way to completely “opt out” of the collection of information through cookies or other tracking technologies is to actively manage the settings on your browser to delete and disable cookies and other tracking/recording tools. However, getting a “Do Not Track” signal to work as you might want is difficult. Using browsers as an example, not all tracking technologies can be controlled by browsers; unique aspects of your browser might be recognizable even if you disable a tracking technology; not all settings will necessarily last or be effective; even if a setting is effective for one purpose, data still may be collected for another; and even if one website observes a “Do Not Track” signal, that website may not be able to control other websites.

Sharing of Personal Information

We may share your Personal Data with the following third-parties:

  • Our service providers which are themselves data controllers such as professional advisors, banks and other service providers on a need-to-know basis, necessary for the purposes for which such access is granted.
  • Any national and/or international regulatory, enforcement or exchange body or court where we are required to do so by applicable law or regulation or at their request
  • Any central or local government department and other statutory or public bodies as required

International Transfers

The personal data we collect from you may be processed in (including being accessed in or stored in) a country or territory outside your home country, including outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”).

Where data is transferred to another jurisdiction which does not offer the same level of protection of personal data as your home country, we will ensure that your data is appropriately protected.

Information Security and Accuracy

We intend to protect your personal information and to maintain its accuracy. JE3 implements reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards to help us protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use and disclosure. We also require that our suppliers protect such information from unauthorised access, use and disclosure.

Retention Period

We will not retain personal information longer than necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is processed, including the security of our processing complying with legal and regulatory obligations (e.g. audit, accounting and statutory retention terms), handling disputes, and for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
